Millions marched against Trump!
Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Times Square in New York on October 18, 2025, to protest President Trump's policies on "No Kings Day"
Day of mass protests against Donald Trump (79) in the USA!
Under the slogan "No Kings," the next mass mobilization against the US President took place at 2,600 demonstrations in all 50 states. The main criticisms: Trump's allegedly autocratic leadership style, troop deployments in US metropolises, raids on illegal immigrants, and cuts to climate protection and healthcare.
The demonstrations were organized by progressive groups such as "Indivisible." It became one of the largest days of protest in US history. An estimated three million people took to the streets at the first "No Kings" rallies on June 14.
100,000 on the streets in New York
On Saturday, for example, the New York protest march stretched from Times Square for dozens of blocks down Seventh Avenue; according to police authorities, 100,000 attended. Gripping protest images also emerged in other cities: Crowds filled downtown Pittsburgh, waved US flags in Seattle, marched in animal costumes through Portland, paraded past casinos in Las Vegas, shouted insults through Denver, and filled Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the Capitol in Washington.
Opposition politicians used the protests to deliver combative speeches. Left-wing icon Bernie Sanders (84) shouted in Washington: "People are here because they love America—not hate it!" Republican politicians had previously accused the demonstrators of "hate America."
Texas mobilized the National Guard
In Republican states like Texas, the National Guard was mobilized. Governor Greg Abbott (67) sent soldiers and special units like the Texas Rangers to Austin.
It was claimed that the protest movement was infiltrated by left-wing "Antifa" extremists, whom Trump recently designated a "terrorist organization." However, there have been no reports of violent riots so far: For the most part, the atmosphere was cheerful, more like that of a street festival.
The protest in New York reflected the mood of the marchers: Signs and banners featured crossed-out crowns, caricatures of Trump in Nazi uniforms, warnings of tyranny and fascism, and plenty of vulgar slogans. The often spiteful visuals also included the scandal surrounding sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Dina Mermelstein, documentary filmmaker from "Our Democracy is Under Attack. People are being abducted by ICE agents, families don't know where their loved ones are." She called Trump "a man without empathy who sows hatred."
Karen Ramspacher: "We want to show the world that we don't want a king! Trump is violating the Constitution and ignoring court rulings." Bart Codd: "Troops don't belong on our streets—that's outrageous! Calling us 'anti-American' is absurd and cowardly."
