It could almost have been a friendship between singer FKA Twigs (34) and actress Margaret Qualley (27). But it was unmistakably different.
According to Page Six, a loud argument broke out between the two women in the luxurious Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles. The reason: the ex "Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf (36).
The common point of contention: Ex Shia LaBeouf. The actor is currently in therapy.
In December 2020, FKA Twigs made it public that she was suing the "Transformers" actor, whom she dated from summer 2018 to spring 2019, for molestation. She accused him of sexual violence, physical harm, and the infliction of mental suffering. Shia LaBeouf later admitted, "I've abused myself and everyone around me for years," but didn't take a specific position on any of his ex's allegations. He also said, "Many of these claims are not true."
In February 2021, the 34-year-old went public with the allegations against her ex again in a cover story in the magazine "Elle." Actress Margaret Qualley posted the magazine cover with FKA Twigs and added a "thank you." A crystal clear position against the mutual ex-boyfriend, from whom she had only recently separated.
She sued Shia LaBeouf almost 1.5 years ago: singer FKA Twigs. The relationship between the two lasted nine months.
According to a source, both women reportedly didn't know each other personally beforehand and were in touch shortly after the post. Twigs had hoped Margaret would appear in court as a witness in April 2023. And testify FOR the singer.
In her post, Margaret explained to Harper's Bazaar: "It was important for me that she knows that I believe her – and it's as simple as that."
According to an insider, who first approached whom in the hotel dispute is unknown. But it is said that a violent verbal argument quickly broke out – in front of other hotel guests. The whole thing went so far that Qualley's fiancé, singer Jack Antonoff (38), rushed to help take the tinder out of the heated discussion.
It remains unclear how the dispute ultimately ended. But according to witnesses, both parties are said to have been clearly "taken away" by the incident.
Neither FKA Twigs nor Margaret Qualley has commented on the dispute.
