Ronaldo’s Madrid Escape
Madrid/Rome — When the world’s biggest football superstar needs a breather, he knows exactly where to land. For Cristiano Ronaldo, the answer is simple: Madrid — the city that made him a legend.
The 41-year-old icon quietly slipped out of Riyadh after rising security concerns in the region, boarding a private jet with his family and heading back to familiar territory. Ronaldo has called Riyadh home since joining Al-Nassr FC, but Madrid still holds a special place in his life.
After all, it was here that Ronaldo built one of the greatest chapters in football history while wearing the famous white shirt of Real Madrid between 2009 and 2018.
And it didn’t take long for the paparazzi to spot him again.
Dressed in a crisp white designer shirt by Loewe — reportedly worth around $2,500 — paired with black trousers and bright white sneakers, Ronaldo was photographed leaving a private event in Madrid’s city center. Relaxed, smiling and unmistakably stylish, the football superstar appeared perfectly at ease in the Spanish capital.
But there was one noticeable absence.
His longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, was nowhere to be seen.
Instead, the 32-year-old model was dazzling the fashion elite in Rome, where she attended the highly anticipated Valentino Fall/Winter 2026-27 runway show at the magnificent Palazzo Barberini.
The event carried extra emotional weight. It marked the first major runway presentation following the death of legendary designer Valentino Garavani, who passed away in January at the age of 93.
Rodríguez arrived in full glamour mode — a dramatic black velvet dress with ruffles and floral appliqué, paired with a sleek Valentino handbag. Sitting in the coveted front row, she shared the spotlight with fashion and celebrity royalty, including Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni and Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, both longtime admirers of the iconic designer.
While Georgina conquered the Roman fashion scene, Ronaldo appeared to be enjoying a quieter moment back in the city where his football mythology was born.
With their five children now safely out of Riyadh, the couple seems to have briefly split their schedules — one returning to football’s spiritual home, the other dazzling the fashion world.
For Ronaldo, Madrid is more than a destination.
It’s a refuge. ⚽✨
