SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS KILL THE ATTACKER
Shooting in one of the safest cities in the world!
In Vaughan, a suburb of Toronto, Canada, an attacker shot five people in their homes Sunday night before being killed himself in an exchange of gunfire with police. The suspected perpetrator had opened fire in an apartment complex.
Police Chief Jim MacSween has not yet released details of the suspected perpetrator.
According to local Police Chief Jim MacSween, one woman was shot by the alleged perpetrator. However, he said she was conscious, in no danger of her life, and was taken to a hospital.
Special police units arrived at the scene early Sunday evening heavily armed. When they arrived, they were presented with a "horrific" picture, "several people had already died," MacSween said.
All that is certain is that the attacker was shot dead by police.
Police have not yet revealed details about the perpetrator. It is also still completely unclear why the man shot five people. Police are investigating, among other things, whether he knew his victims.
In Canada, rampages and other attacks with firearms are rare. On an index of the safest cities in the world, Toronto regularly ranked first and second.
