Palm Springs, Calif. – Palm Canyon Theatre is welcoming the holiday season with one of the most cherished musicals of all time. Annie takes the stage from November 28 through December 21, 2025, bringing audiences a heartwarming celebration of hope, family, and perseverance—wrapped in beloved songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life.”

This year’s production shines even brighter with two talented young actresses sharing the iconic role of Annie. Karsyn Kemp and Sierra Petrilla each step into the spotlight with their own spirited interpretation of the optimistic orphan whose courage and kindness change the lives of everyone around her. Their alternating performances promise fresh energy throughout the run.

Under the direction and choreography of Se Layne, with musical direction by Linda Mack, the show features a strong cast of local favorites. Paul Grant brings warmth and wit to the role of Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, while Tara Howard delivers charm as Grace Farrell, and Olga Morales brings delicious mischief to Miss Hannigan. The supporting cast includes Anthony Nannini as Rooster, Jessica Inserra as Lily, Donald Kelley as Drake, Lisa Walters as Mrs. Greer, Kelly Bevel as Mrs. Pugh, Stephen Giboney as Bert Healy, Tom Warrick as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Nick Edwards as the Dog Catcher.

A vibrant group of young performers brings Annie’s world to life with lively humor and heartfelt moments. The orphan ensemble features Leilah Mendivil as Pepper, Isla Gurnon as Duffy, Brenda Meza as July, Radmira Koltsova as Tessie, Bogdana Koltsova as Mae, Brooklyn Park as Kate, and Kaia Petrilla as Molly. The ensemble adds rich texture to the show with appearances by Neil Badham, Alan Berry, Lois Bondurich, Donovan Bricker, Danny Hargreaves, Adam Hieter, Stevie Gold, Thelma Irvine, Justin Marionowits, Marvin Rea, Steve Shane, and Sanai Wright.
With its uplifting message and feel-good spirit, Annie is an ideal outing for families, holiday visitors, and longtime theater lovers. Performances run Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $46 for adults and $20 for students, with group discounts available.
