REO Speedwagon is a multi-platinum band that has been around for several decades. They were supposed to be at THE SHOW earlier but had to cancel and make a new date: Sunday, Dec. 8th. REO fans filled THE SHOW at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa. Lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter Kevin Cronin spoke to the crowd about their recent tours. He said they had traveled and performed in the Midwest this fall. He was happy to return to California and warm weather, as it was darn cold in Minnesota.

They started with songs like "Don't Let Him Go," "Take It on the Run," and "Keep Pushin.'" These are well-known songs from the band, and the crowd seemed to know the words. Cronin then took the time to introduce the band members and the music they would play; the bass player was a newer member and had been part of the Elton John band for 12 years. The next band member he introduced was a long-time member and the best rock-and-roll guitarist, Dave Amado. Each band member had a solo performance with a hit song. The audience was appreciative and applauded.

Cronin said a rock-and-roll band needs a Texas drummer. Bryan Hitt sang with beautiful vocals and still kept the beat. Cronin said the bassist was a predictor and asked him what his prediction was for the night. He spoke loudly, "The Best Night of Rock and Roll." Cronin has written most of the songs the band plays. He said he wrote one song about his wife before he knew her. He is an accomplished pianist and writes his songs on both the piano and guitar. They ended the night with my favorite songs, "Keep On Lovin' You" and "Saw Her Standing There." Coming up on New Year's Eve will be a big night to celebrate with KC and The Sunshine Band at THE SHOW.
