WeGoViral International Crime:
Three friends wanted to spend a lovely day together – instead, they were cruelly murdered in Ecuador —international media report on this.
Accordingly, on April 4, the women drove from Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas to Quininde (Ecuador), about 70 kilometers away. Yuliana Macias (21), Denisse Reyna (19), and Nayeli Tapia (22) wore shorts and had bathing suits with them. Because the trio did not come home, the families reported them missing the following day.
Women had their throats cut.
Two fishermen noticed a strong odor at a newly dug site near a river on April 7, police said. Officers found the bound bodies with their throats cut and numerous signs of torture on the bodies.
Coroners assume that the model, the singer, and the student were murdered on April 5 - possibly with a machete. So far, there is no trace of the perpetrators.
"We want justice."
The families assured that their daughters had nothing to do with drug trafficking. An aunt said: "All we want is justice." Anyone who knows anything about the three murders should get in touch.
That shouldn't be that easy. Because: According to their statements, the families have already been threatened with death because of their appeal to the public. According to the aunt, "something dark" is behind the massacre.
Police are following two hot leads.
The investigators are currently pursuing two hot leads: On the one hand, a mobile phone was found in the shallow grave. On the other hand, the three women were seen with two men in a rental car, whose owner the authorities now want to locate. In addition, the place where the bodies lay was believed not to be the crime scene.
Nayeli Tapia worked as a model, and Yuliana Macias sang in a band. Denisse Reyna studied agricultural engineering. The three friends were buried on Easter Sunday.
