Will this statement be fatal to her?
Things are heating up in the defamation lawsuit between Johnny Depp (58) and Amber Heard (36). While the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star claims in a court in the US state of Virginia that he has never been violent towards his ex-wife, she describes cruel details of a toxic relationship and repeatedly bursts into tears.
Amber Heard's statements are highly emotional; the actress bursts into tears repeatedly. However, many believe that Heard is only "giving an idea."
On the witness stand last Thursday, Amber Heard mentioned model Kate Moss, 48, when discussing a 2015 altercation between her sister Whitney Heard, 35, and her ex-husband. But this statement could now further scratch Amber Heard's credibility.
According to Heard, in March 2015, there was a dispute between her, Johnny Depp and her sister. The actress: "Whitney had his back to the stairs, and Johnny swung to meet her. I didn't hesitate; I didn't wait - in my head, I immediately thought of Kate Moss and the stairs - then I punched him."
She was afraid Depp could push her sister down the stairs. It was the first time that she had hit her husband at the time.
Did Johnny Depp push Kate Moss down the stairs?
Amber Heard's comment refers to an incident she says happened between Johnny Depp and his former partner Kate Moss.
In a previous trial two years ago, Heard said: "I remember him allegedly pushing a former girlfriend - I think it was Kate Moss - down the stairs. I had heard that rumor from two people, and it was fresh in my mind."
They were the young, wild dream couple of Hollywood: Johnny Depp and his then-girlfriend Kate Moss. They were dating from 1994 to 1998
At the time, Depp's lawyer accused Heard of only making up the alleged rumors to back up her allegations against her allegedly brutal ex.
Kate Moss never commented on Amber Heard's comments.
Triumph gesture from Depp's lawyer
Johnny Depp's attorney, Benjamin Chew, seemed pleased at the renewed mention of the alleged staircase incident, even clenching his fist in triumph in the courtroom.
The reason for the enthusiastic gesture: Depp's lawyers have not been able to call the model as a witness because the incident on the stairs that Heard referred to in the earlier trial has nothing to do with the current trial. However, with Amber Heard's recent statement, Depp's legal team can now call Kate Moss to the witness stand and have her testify to the allegations that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star pushed her off the stairs.
Why did Amber Heard mention her predecessor Kate Moss?
The supermodel and the actor dated from 1994 to 1998 and are now said to be friends. In a 2012 interview with US magazine Vanity Fair, the legendary model admitted that Johnny Depp was the only one who made her feel cared for. "There has never been anyone who was really able to take care of me. Johnny did. I believed what he said. I've missed that since I left him."
Will the British support her ex-husband in the current process and possibly even refute Amber Heard's statements? It would be THE sensation!
