A woman filed a lawsuit against the Hollywood star in 2017 because he is said to have had unprotected sex with her without first telling her about his HIV disease.
Now the HIV process for Charlie Sheen (56) and his ex-affair has ended – with an out-of-court settlement.
As the news portal TMZ reports, legal documents prove that an agreement was filed with the L.A. County Superior Court on Wednesday, which should now close the case.
Accordingly, Sheen agreed with the woman on a sum of 120,000 dollars (120,414 euros), which she should receive in monthly installments of 10,000 dollars over a year.
The woman, referred to as "Jane Doe" by her attorneys in the filing, had claimed she began an affair with the "Two and a Half Men" star in September 2015, including having unprotected sex with him.
Sheen previously denied her question of whether he had sexually transmitted diseases, as testified by Sheen's ex-affair. The Hollywood star found out about his HIV disease in 2011 and then made it public on November 17, 2015, on the "Today Show."
But he is said to have only informed his former sex partner about his sexually transmitted disease after the unprotected sex and gave her two pills that were supposed to prevent transmission, the woman said on the record. After that, she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and drove to the hospital in a panic.
“I am HIV positive” – With this message, Charlie Sheen went public on US TV in November 2015
On The Today Show in 2015, Sheen admitted to hiding his HIV diagnosis from at least two sexual partners. However, he claimed he protected himself during sex with the women. With the out-of-court settlement with "Jane Doe," the legal dispute with the woman has now been settled.
